Horti-Base is available in five formulations; four products for peat-based composts and one product for coir:

Peat Mix A
A balanced NPK formulation for general use in potting mixes and in glasshouse soils.

Peat Mix B
A high performance formulation, for fast growing crops requiring more generous levels of potash and trace elements.

Peat Mix C
A low Nitrogen formulation with high Phosphate to encourage good rooting on sensitive crops (eg Antirrhinum, Primula).

Peat Mix D
A high Nitrate formulation, specially designed for seedlings, young plants and Ammonium sensitive sp (eg Begonia, Impatiens, Poinsettia and St Paulia). Mix D is a balanced mix with generous levels of trace elements.

Coir Mix
Contains a high level of phosphorus and Trace Elements in slowly available Frit form. This helps minimise leaching losses in the first few weeks of use. The mix contains no Potash, as a high level of K is already present in the coir.

All mixes are ground to a fine powder to ensure even mixing with the compost substrate.
