Always looking to expand its customer base, Hortifeeds has broadened its horizons once more. For the last year the company has been able to add Poland to the growing list of countries using its services.

A leading Polish distributor is now stocking Hortifeeds controlled release fertilisers and water soluble Hortimix fertilisers in ever increasing quantities.

Based in Warsaw, the company sells to growers of nursery and bedding plants throughout Poland and the deal with Hortifeeds is proving so successful that it has set up a new division devoted entirely to Hortifeeds products.

The company first made contact with Hortifeeds after visiting the stand at the NTV exhibition in Amsterdam in 1999. Since then the two companies have built a business relationship that resulted in more than 100 tonnes of Hortifeeds products passing through the Polish company’s gates last year.

Harvey Bird, Hortifeeds’ European Sales Manager, keeps in close contact with his Polish colleagues: “This is an important new business development and demonstrates that there is immense potential in Eastern Europe for Hortifeeds.”
